Tips are appreciated, but never expected.

Please discuss the usage of numbing cream with your artist prior to arrival. Numbing cream can make the skin spongy, making the skin harder to tattoo effectively. Because of this, some tattooers prefer not to tattoo on skin with numbing cream.
Note: If you have gotten the okay from your artist, please apply it prior to your arrival, as it takes 45-60 minutes to be effective.

If you are sick, please contact your artist and reschedule your appointment. If you are feeling under the weather, please wait to come in for a walk in tattoo as well. We want our staff and clients to stay safe and healthy!
-
We highly recommend arriving for your tattoo well rested, hydrated, and having eaten a meal.
If you want to bring a snack, we ask that you eat in the lobby only.
We recommend snacks with sugar and/or protein.

We understand getting tattooed or pierced can be an intimidating experience. While we do our best to make sure you are comfortable, we understand wanting to have someone with you who can provide moral support.
Many studios will not allow anyone to accompany you during your appointment (and it’s prohibited by law in some states!). If you feel you need someone with you, please limit it to one person at the most. Please understand it is at the artist’s discretion if they will allow your guest to be with you while you are getting tattooed, your guest may be asked to wait in the lobby.

The life of your tattoo greatly depends on the care you give it during the healing period. Follow the steps below to ensure your tattoo heals well!
Remove the bandage after 1-2 hours. If the bandage sticks, run water over it until you are able to gently pull it off. After the bandage is removed DO NOT re-bandage your tattoo. It’s important that your tattoo is allowed to breathe while it is healing.
After the bandage is off, GENTLY wash the tattoo with an anti-bacterial soap (Dial, Ivory, etc). Wash your tattoo with clean hands. DO NOT use a washcloth, sponge, brush, etc. Wash your new tattoo twice daily. DO NOT SOAK your new tattoo. Showers are fine, but NO SWIMMING OR BATHS FOR AT LEAST TWO WEEKS.
GENTLY pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel or paper towel, and then allow it to air dry.
Once the tattoo is dry, apply a SMALL amount of Aquaphor 2-3 times a day (only when dry) for the first 3 days. For the remainder of the healing process, use UNSCENTED LOTION (Curel or Lubriderm for example). The idea is to use just enough to soften the skin. Use the lotion for the next 2 weeks, or until the tattoo stops peeling. During this period the tattoo will be dry and itchy - DO NOT SCRATCH YOUR TATTOO!
Keep your tattoo away from:
Dirt, grease, sand, etc
The sun (for 2 weeks)
Perfumes, fragrances, or other chemicals
Tight fitting clothing, socks, pantyhose, etc
SWIMMING - THIS IS A MUST!
After your tattoo is healed, use sunblock when in the sun or your tattoo color will fade. Take care of your skin an your tattoo will always look good!
